• Vortec 3.7L I-5 engine

  The in-line configuration in the available Vortec 3.7L I-5 engine gives it the efficiency to offer 23 MPG hwy(5) on 2WD models. It also pumps out 242 hp and 242 lb.-ft. of torque.

• Vortec 5.3L V8 engine

  The available Vortec 5.3L V8 engine cranks out 300 hp. All that power and it offers better highway fuel economy -20 MPG highway - than Dodge Dakota V8(6).

Z71 allows you to get out...way out

Whether the road has run from pavement to dirt or the storms have come in, Insta-Trac (available on 4x4 models only) allows you to shift from 2WD to 4x4 with just the touch of a button. If you're involved in a collision, the Automatic Air Bag Deployment sends a signal to OnStar. An Advisor is connected into your vehicle to see if you and your passengers are okay.

StabiliTrak

The StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System helps you stay the course by detecting the difference between the steering wheel angle and the direction the vehicle is actually turning. Then it uses the brakes and, if necessary, adjusts engine torque to help you keep your vehicle on track.
